My husband and I are in our mid-seventies. We have been retired for just over ten years. My career was that of primary school teaching and my husband worked in the timber industry all of his working life. He held such positions as Production Manager, Research and Development Manager and Site Manager over two mill sites - one in northern Tasmania and the other in Southeast Queensland. We were both born in, Scottsdale, a country town in Tasmania. In 1996 we made the decision to move to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

We live on the edge of Cooroy on the Sunshine Coast, 20 minutes from the heart of Noosa. Our home is on a small block of land that is set out with lawns and gardens. We have built a ramp to make access to the home easier rather than accessing the ten steps that lead up to the home. The living area is open plan with a reasonable sized kitchen that has a gas cook top and electric self-cleaning oven. Our master bedroom is a generous size with an ensuite and WIR. It also has a king sized bed. The two guest bedrooms have queen-size beds and built-in, mirrored wardrobes. We have air conditioning in both the main living area and the master bedroom and ceiling fans throughout. A small deck provides a lovely area to relax and enjoy the occasional breezes. There is a small barbecue there to enjoy if desired. We love the fact that we have an outlook that isn't a suburban feel. There are lots of trees around and it is a quiet area.
