Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in South Hobart, South Hobart, TAS
I am a non-smoking 62 year old professional woman living and working in Hobart, Tasmania. I am seeking a house swap for the month of August 2024 in the Elanora, Currumbin, Palm Beach area of SE QLD. I have leave from work so that I can spend this time with my mother who is in aged care at Elanora. I will be spending each day with Mum so I can undertake any gardening or pet care that is required. In exchange I have a lovely little strata title home in a community in South Hobart https://www.cascadecohousing.com/ where I love living. It is a 10 min bus trip or drive to the city centre and is situated at the foothills of beautiful kunanyi (Mt Wellington) with magnificent bike and walking tracks. It is also a 5 min ride/10 min walk to the lovely Hobart Rivulet linear park that takes you into the city (20 min by bike). I have recently done renovations on my passive solar home and it is comfortable for a couple or single. My two-story little home has a beautiful view down to the Derwent River and looks out into trees and gardens. It is very quiet and private home with a small simple no maintenance garden. A car swap is also available – it is a reliable Hyundai i30 which has off street parking. You can just come and go using my home as a base for all sorts of adventures in Hobart and Tassie. However, you are also welcome to participate in any community activities. This includes sharing meals with the members of the other 13 households (up to three times a week) and social gatherings (incl film nights and celebrations e.g. winter solstice). It gives you a great taste of community living.
