Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Scott Creek, Adelaide Hills, SA
I'm a retired professional in linguistics and education. I especially enjoy house renovation and architectural projects, bushwalking, travel adventures, gardening, music and art... I often travel with a friend or one of my sisters, who may be involved in the swaps. I've had quite a number of successful swaps through AussieHouseSwap over the past few years and I'm a fastidiously clean but easy-going guest who enjoys looking after other people's precious homes and gardens. For those flying in, I’m happy to also swap cars as this is a semi-rural area which would require a car at this end. I’m sorry that I can't swap where there are pets to care for, as I am asthmatic and highly allergic to animal hair/saliva, feathers and the dust of chooksheds.

We had a very enjoyable house swap with Jean and we would thoroughly recommend a house swap with her. Her lovely off grid home is in a beautiful quiet and elevated environment with amazing views. We enjoyed having a family of kangaroos nearby. The Adelaide Hills is a special place to stay and we spent time in several of the picturesque villages - McLaren Vale was close by and the Fleurieu Peninsula. It was easy to catch a train into the city which we did several times. Jean was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you Jean.

Wow - what a stunning property!! We were blown away when we drove up the drive, perched on the side of a hill, overlooking a beautiful valley, Jean's home in the Adelaide Hills is one in a million. The views were stunning and the home was so luxurious and comfortable. The home had everything you could ask for and more. It felt so secluded yet we were only a 15ming drive to a beautiful little town that had everything you could ask for. Not far away is McLaren Vale with wineries on every corner! Jean was so great at communication - talked us through her unique property once we arrived and kept us up to date with her movements in regards to our home. Such a pleasure swapping with Jean - would love to have the chance to do it again! Thanks Jean we loved our stay!

Truely superb house swap experience with Jean ! Beautiful big house that offers so much for a comfortable stay with stunning views, comfortable beds, beautiful gardens and a warm fireplace to light at end of a big day adventuring the hills. Jean is such a great communicator, very hospitable and a delight to swap with. Hope to have the opportunity to do it again. Thanks Jean !

Ann and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jean's 'clouds nest' property. The superbly designed house and commanding views were wonderful, an oasis in the Adelaide Hills. Although the house is completely off grid, it was very straight forward to monitor and manage. Communication with Jean prior to and during our stay was timely and we do welcome the opportunity of returning the hospitality when Jean wishes to visit Melbourne.

We had an amazing stay at Jean's beautiful home in the Adelaide Hills. The house is very large and inviting with beautiful views seen from all the windows. Jean is a keen gardener and has landscaped her gardens beautifully. We enjoyed walking along the bush tracks and watching the kangaroos graze in her large acreage. The home and apartment were perfect for our family stay and there were toys to entertain the grandchildren. The surrounding towns were memorable and we enjoyed many outings exploring them. Spring is a delightful season in Adelaide and we were impressed by the variety of wildflowers growing in the area. We would highly recommend a swap with Jean and hope to do so ourselves one autumn to experience a different season in the Adelaide Hills.
