We are a married couple aged either side of 60. Both of us worked in various legal fields. The children are now well and truly off our hands, but the 2 grand-kids are now delighting us as they grow up. We have travelled extensively in Europe, North America, and South East Asia. We now feel that we are open to new adventures. We have home-swapped on other sites. We will look at all options presented to us. We can travel at short notice, and for varying periods of time. We are open to non simultaneous swaps, as the apartment is quite separate from our upper living level.

Our apartment consists of the complete lower level of our Queenslander home in Paddington, Brisbane. It is a very large area, with a galley kitchen with Miele oven + cooktop, large living area, very large outdoor deck overlooking our lawn, pool and cabana. The main bedroom has a queen bed, built-in cupboards, dressing table and city views. The 2nd bedroom is large with 2 single beds and built-in wardrobes as well. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath. There is a separate toilet. You can easily sccess the laundry.

Paddington is an inner west suburb of Brisbane, famous for its heritage homes, restaurants, proximity to the CBD, hills and leafy outlook. Being so close to a major city, every possible activity is not too far away - the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast and the hinterland areas behind both.

Mark and Sue were very quick to respond to our request for a weekend house swap. We were fortunate to meet them to exchange keys and a few details and they were absolutely delightful. Their Paddington home was very comfortable and beautifully presented, with all modern conveniences. Its central location made for easy access on foot to the many interesting shops, cafes and restaurants as well as buses to the city. We would have no hesitation in endorsing Mark and Sue's Paddington retreat.
