Des and Trudy are a retired couple with our kids & grandchildren in other states. Our very loveable and fun pugs, Sapphire and Opal love to travel with us and we are happy to look after your pets. We enjoy walking and the food and wine of different regions around Australia. We have travelled lots of places in Oz in our van but now want to experience holidaying in a more relaxed and comfortable way.

Our home is a freestanding two storey 5 bedroom brick house facing north. The large verandah at the front is great for entertaining and eating outdoors.
Upstairs has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, the other room converted to an office. Recently renovated kitchen and main bathroom.
Downstairs has 2 bedrooms: one queen bed, other bunk beds. Also a bathroom and a living room (lots of kids toys).

Ballina is located on the mouth of the Richmond River and North Creek. With surfing beaches, a bay, river and creek, make Ballina a surfing, fishing and swimming paradise. We have kayaks/canoe, bikes and boogie boards.
Being part of the Northern Rivers and Rainbow Region, we are close to Lennox Head, Byron Bay, Lismore and the alternative lifestyle towns such as Nimbin and Mullumbimby as well as beautiful hinterland rainforest and waterfalls.
We are located just 5 minutes easy walk through a littoral rainforest track to beautiful Angels Beach. Cycle ways and shared pathways are close by to get you to town, various beaches and Shaws Bay.
Whale watching (seasonal).
Gold Coast theme parks are 1.5 hours drive away and Byron Bay 25 minutes.
