We are Frank and Gayle, both late 60’s, who are retired teachers. We have 2 adult children who are lawyers married to lawyers. Our daughter lives in Brisbane with 2 young children, and our son lives in Sydney. Our interests are surfing, skiing and travelling. We have completed more than 70 very successful house swaps worldwide. We are particularly interested in overseas destinations that enable us to surf and ski, and are keen to travel to coastal destinations in Australia.

Our contemporary 2 storey villa, exterior recently repainted, is in a quiet, residential neighbourhood, beach side of Gold Coast highway and only 3 minutes walk to beautiful Miami beach. Entry is through a coded gate. Ground level has secure carport and garage, lounge, kitchen, laundry, toilet, a second living room, and a covered courtyard for alfresco dining with barbecue. Smart televisions in both downstairs living areas with a variety of apps. The second level has 3 bedrooms, all with queen beds, built in robes and fans, a bathroom and office area with wifi throughout. Our main bedroom has ensuite, air conditioning, tv and a balcony.
We have surf boards, beach gear and 2 bikes that you are welcome to use.

Miami is the centre of the 20km Gold Coast strip. Our white sand beach has lifeguard patrol, good surf all year, whale watching in winter. Nearby is Burleigh Golf Club, tennis courts, shops, cafes, markets and a medical centre at the end of our street. Within 20 minutes drive are theme parks and within an hour's drive is the hinterland with rainforest walks, wineries and great views of the coastline. A soon to be running tram goes along Gold Coast Highway from Burleigh to Helensvale with 2 stops within 200 metres of our home. There are also bus stops nearby. We are 20 minutes north of Cooloongatta airport for domestic flights and some international flights. The airtrain goes from all Gold Coast stations to Brisbane International and Domestic Airports.

We had an amazing stay at Gayle and Franks house on the Gold Coast. Their communication prior to the trip and during our stay was outstanding. Their home is located right near Miami Beach and in walking distance to cafe's, shops and Pacific Fair. They were also willing to swap cars which allowed us to travel to Movie Word, Sea World and Wet n Wild, along with some of the most amazing surf breaks in Australia including Snapper Rocks. Their house was immaculately presented and had everything we needed. They even allowed us to use their bikes and surfboards. They also looked after our house and cars like they were their own. Our house was exceptionally clean on our return to Tasmania. An amazing swap, thanks Gayle and Frank :).
