Thomas is originally from Germany, Danielle from Bendigo, Victoria, after six years living together in Germany they decided to move to Australia and begin their family. Isabella is a happy little girl who loves dancing, exploring the outdoors and Bluey! Thomas works in sales and Danielle in Real Estate. With COVID interfering with a lot of their international travel plans, exploring closer to home or anywhere in Australia for that matter is highly appealing. Extremely respectful of other peoples homes and excited at the prospect and opportunity to be able to share their own piece of the world with others.

Our brand new home, built in March 2021, comprises of 3 bedrooms, open plan kitchen/dining/living space, extra lounge area, ensuite to master and walk in robe. The stylish bright kitchen overlooks the outdoor undercover entertaining area and back garden. Space to step outside and enjoy the country air with large established trees nearby giving you a beautiful view in you're own private oasis.

I loved staying in Danielle’s very delightfully comfortable, modern and immaculate home, and Strathfieldsaye was a very pleasant surprise, so close to the bush but very convenient for access to Bendigo, which is a beautiful regional city with so much to do, especially at the time of the Easter Festival. We found excellent bistros and cafes with shopping centres very close to the house location, and a visit to the superb regional art gallery was a highlight of our stay. Central city parking was very easy to find within 20 minutes of leaving home and we enjoyed walking in the botanic garden and through the lovely green spaces in the city itself as well as wilder bushwalks within 15 minutes drive. The house was well set up with absolutely everything we required for our stay and Danielle had generously provided delicious treats beyond starter supplies in the fridge and pantry. Communication over the week’s stay was always available and we found Danielle very welcoming and quick in her text responses, with a great deal of useful information, in addition to the very useful house folder. I also felt quite confident that my own property was being well looked after and felt on my return that they were most considerate, careful and appreciative people to exchange with. Everything was a great success and trouble-free in this swap and I would recommend this family to others considering spending some time in beautiful historic Bendigo and nearby heritage villages. We had a wonderful stay at Danielle's home in Bendigo over the Anzac Day long weekend. The house is so comfortable, clean and well-equipped and located on a beautiful, quiet street. Danielle is a fantastic communicator, very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend swapping with this fabulous host! Bendigo has so much to offer and we will definitely be back. The house is brand new and immaculate, with all mod cons. There were very comfortable beds. The location was easy to get to and had great shops and restaurants nearby. It was a short drive into the city which made it easy to see the sights. Many thanks for a fabulous house swap!
