House Swap with us

We are Colin and Anthea, a semi-retired couple and an ex-teacher and journalist, who have lived in Bendigo for 15 years. We have previously been part of another house swap network and had many successful exchanges both around Australia and internationally. We love gardening, walking and spending time with our grandchildren and good friends. We enjoy being out in nature as much as we can. On occasions, we like to take our grandchildren away for short breaks.

The House

The House

We live in a comfortable, low-maintenance brick home, set in a quiet area near parklands in Bendigo's inner north. The house is just eight years old and on a compact block for easy maintenance. Bedroom set-up includes 1 queen, 1 double and 1 single with trundle. There is a well stocked toy cupboard for young children, rear courtyard garden, front garden facing the street, a park with playground next door, reliable Wifi connection and secure garage.

The things we love about living here

  • We love our quiet neighbourhood and proximity to town.
  • We are not far from local bike paths which run right into the CBD and to Lake Weeroona.
  • We are minutes away from the Bendigo Art Gallery and many of the city's key attractions.

We enjoyed our stay at Colin and Anthea’s comfortable home, which gave us easy access to the attractions of beautiful Bendigo. It was a great base, only 5 minutes drive to the art gallery, cafes, restaurants and the city centre. Colin and Anthea left many thoughtful touches and the house had a lovely sunny courtyard to sit out in. They were easy to communicate with and we had a great time.

Jillian and Justin from Leura NSW (Jul 2025)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bendigo at the beautiful modern, and very comfortable home of Colin and Anthea. It was very well located and very well kept. Colin and Anthea communicated very well with us. It was a non simultaneous exchange as they had brought their grandchildren to our house earlier in the year. Our home was left in exceptional condition. Thank you Anthea and Colin.

Maureen and Les from Point Lonsdale VIC (Jul 2025)

Colin and Anthea provided an immaculate cottage with beautifully large bedrooms, a new kitchen and large modern bathroom. The garden was very pretty in Autumn with red leaves along the back veranda. Bendigo offered wonderful activities. We visited the famous Bendigo pottery and saw glass bead making as well as sculptures and antiques. We went on the talking tram and explored the gold mine. We loved the grandeur of the Bendigo Cathedral. The botanical gardens and art gallery were exquisite. Elvis was represented everywhere. Thanks to Colin and Anthea for the delicious baked goods they left for us to enjoy! Highly recommended.
