Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Mountain River, Hobart region, TAS
We are well a traveled family. My husband & I are health professionals with two well behaved older teens. We have an idyllic Tasmanian home with opportunities for relaxation in our gardens, with mountain and river views or visiting a variety of attractions within short driving distances. We are pet lovers and happy to feed your pets/walk a dog/ cuddle cats. We hope you like pets too! Our Dog could be minded by a friend if preferred, otherwise she'll keep you company on our gorgeous local walks. Cats and chickens stay and need will feeding. Whilst we haven't house swapped before we frequently welcome house sitters and stay at airbnb's so house swapping seems a logical option to travel.

Farm stay in comfort in our modern, large, country style, riverside home on 15 acres. 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 2 king singles) 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas and an outdoor heated swim/spa pool off the deck.
New kitchen March 2026. Option to use our weekly cleaner.
25 minutes to Hobart and 10/15 minutes to Huonville shops or Kingston Beach shops/beach etc
Cozy wood-fire plus electric heating and aircon. Smart Oled tv, Netflix, Smart speaker, Fast wifi, coffee machine, dishwasher, laundry, deck/outdoor dining.
We love animals and are happy to care for yours if suitable.
We have recently lost our beautiful old golden retriever and adopted a 2 year old miniature dachshund dog in need of a safe home ( despite saying no more pets! 🙄) She is loving and affectionate but is a typical dachshund so we could leave her here for cuddles and walks or if you feel the dog is too much responsibility we can move her out or we could take her with us if suitable. Open for discussion ☺️
We have 2 well behaved, independent Birman cats who are indoor/ outdoor and they would stay at home with you. We also have chickens who will lay you eggs.
We do have 3 horses on the land but if you are not confident around horses my neighbour can check/ feed them.
