House Swap with us

Andrew and I retired to Metung 5 years ago from the Gold Coast where Andrew worked in corporate and I was employed as a psychologist in Community services. Our children are grown and independent. We now only have our fur children, Archie the dog and Ralph the cat. We chose Metung as a perfect place to retire as we love the water, nature and walking. We are community minded and active in local groups such as the Yacht club. golf club, Bloodhounds (local fund raising), and Red Cross. We love being active and I enjoy yoga and Pilates. The grandchildren are older now and I am keen to explore Australia. Andrew does not warm to the idea of a caravan, so House swapping seems to be the ideal alternative.

The House

Our House was completed late March 2022 by renowned local builder. It was built to rent out and is listed on Airbnb and Booking.com under "Metung Brand new house". It is fully equipped with a king bedroom, queen bedroom and a bunk room. It has two living areas and extensive outdoor decking overlooking valley and hills. Everything is new and clean.
The style is coastal. It is situated above Lake King in the beautiful Gippsland Lakes. it is walking distance to Metung village.

The things we love about living here

Metung is a beautiful fishing and boating village on the Gippsland Lakes in Victoria.
It has a world class Hot springs and a Country club withing walking distance of house.
There is golf, bowls, fishing, boating, lake forest walks there are cafes, restaurants as well as Pilates, yachting and yoga all in town,
The local community is welcoming and friendly and the environment is stunning with abundant birdlife and water as far as the eye can see.
The area is called the riviera of Victoria as being so close to water the temperature is more moderate than what can be experienced in other parts of Victoria.
If you want a relaxing break but one with lots to see and do, Metung is the place for you.
