We are a family of four who love being in nature and at the beach. We do trips back to WA regularly to see family most of whom reside in the Fremantle area so we are keen to house swap with people living there but would also be keen to house swap elsewhere in Australia.

Our house is situated on a big bush block that looks onto Mt Wellington and down onto the city of Hobart and the Derwent River. It’s 5 minutes drive from the mountain with all its spectacular walks and rock climbing and an easy 15 minute drive into town. Being slightly elevated above sea level the nights are nice and cool in summer and we sometimes get snow in winter! We have an orchard with fruit trees and a garden with plenty of veggies and salad that your welcome to help yourself too. We also have chicken who’s eggs you can also collect. The wildlife is also spectacular here with wallabies, native hens and bandicoots making a regular appearance on our lawn.

Mount Wellington hikes, rock climbing on the Organ Pipes and mountain biking tracks are a big attraction.
Salamanca markets, the farmers market and Mona are all great local attractions.
Taroona beach is close by and the Huon valley with its locally brewed cider and a fabulous organic bakery.
Hobart is a great base for getting to all the other attractions in the south of the state, like Wineglass Bay on the east coast and the Tasman Peninsular in the south east.
