House Swap with us

We are a family of 5 and both of us are teachers and so the ideal time for us to travel/swap houses is in the school holidays. Our children are older - 14, 16 and 18. The eldest one is likely to be away overseas all this year and so we would be travelling with just two teens. In 2024, we are particularly interested in a swap during December/Jan 2025. Hopefully then in 2025 we can be more open to other times of the year. Tasmania is a preference but we are open to offers. We are open to new experiences and swapping with like-minded people. We have a cat (does what she likes) and a miniature 3 year old chocolate labradoodle who is a delight. She can travel with us or be placed with family depending on preferences.

The House

Our comfortable family house is located in Ashgrove, Brisbane. Ashgrove is a desirable location within 10 km from the CBD and on a quick 20 min bus route that will take you to the city or Southbank. Our house is 2 storey with 2 bedrooms available upstairs and 2 available downstairs. There is a large comfortable deck at the back of the house overlooking a nice garden and seated outdoor area. Upstairs is the main bedrooms, one further bedroom, the kitchen and lounge area with a large TV. Downstairs are 2-3 bedrooms and a rumpus area for the kids with their own TV. There are 3 bikes for use on local bike-ways. We have a small loving labradoodle who could be placed with our family if needed or if possible, travel with us. There is also an adult cat who would need feeding.

The large breezy open deck on the back of the house which is connected to a garden.
Ashgrove is a lovely family suburb close to the CBD.
Lot of green spaces, walks and bike tracks are nearby.
Being within an hour’s drive of both the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
Shops and cafes are nearby including a lovely Italian restaurant and our local cafe which is a walk away.
Numerous bus routes are nearby including one which takes you to the CBD and the Cultural Precinct at South Brisbane which includes the library, art galleries and museums.
