Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Bright, Victorian High Country Alpine region, VIC
We are a family of four with young adult children who occasionally travel with us and a golden retriever. I am a recently retired scientist and my husband works remotely so we have plenty of flexibility to travel. We love the outdoors and nature, enjoy good food and wine and travelling both within Australia and internationally. We have used Airbnb quite a bit in the past for accommodation and have excellent feedback as being respectful visitors who look after the properties we are staying in. We are offering our much loved holiday house for simultaneous or non simultaneous swaps. Our dog can stay with friends but we are very happy to look after pets.

3 Bedroom country house with renovated kitchen and bathroom backing onto the Ovens river. It is a short walk into town. There are two toilets and a separate bathroom. There are two outdoor areas undercover and a Weber gas BBQ. The house has heating and cooling as well as a wood fire. There is fast internet and a work area in the master bedroom. The main bedroom has a king size bed, the second a queen size bed and the third a queen size and a single bed.

We had the most delightful 6 nights at Claire’s House in Bright. It is a very nice home, beautifully appointed and super clean. We were so comfortable. The town of Bright is also beautiful and there is so much to do in the summer. I would recommend to anyone to swap with Claire, she is a most gracious host and very good at communicating. This was a non simultaneous swap and for a number of reasons she does not need to stay in our place anymore, so we are very grateful and feel lucky to have stayed at her place. I would fully recommend Claire for a house swap.

We had the most wonderful stay at Claire's beautiful home in Bright. The house is comfortable, spacious, and perfectly set up with everything you need, from the newly renovated kitchen and cosy wood fire to the outdoor area and the peaceful setting backing onto the Ovens River. Its location is ideal, with just a short walk into town via the river pathway or street, and we loved exploring the excellent local food scene, wineries, and walking trails. Our dogs loved the fenced yard and the Arboretum at the end of the street to meet other dogs and play. Communication was excellent throughout, and the whole swap was such a smooth and enjoyable experience. We would happily recommend them to anyone considering a house swap.

Claire was so accommodating with our non-simultaenous swap, allowing us the opportunity to visit beautiful Bright in Winter for a later swap at our place in Cowes in Summer. The house had everything we needed for our stay, with plenty of space for our family of four. We especially loved the backyard access to the river, which made for an easy stroll into town. We also enjoyed having lots of board games to play and a beautiful large lounge and dining area to enjoy. Claire's communication was great throughout and she was always quick to answer text messages if we had any questions. Thank you so much!

It was a delight to swap with Claire & family. Our house was super-clean upon return. We also had some extra little surprise goodies left for us. We also enjoyed their large house in Bright which easily handled 6 adults. Highlight was the fabulous wood-burner & beautiful trails just behind the house.
