Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Maleny, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, QLD
I have lived in Maleny, Queensland for 29 years. During that time I leave quite often for work, house-sits and generally like a change and an adventure. I am mature-aged and am no longer formally employed. However, I have an Adjunct position with the University of the Sunshine Coast. My field is sustainability and futures studies and I conduct workshops and write articles for publication. I enjoy walking daily and love exploring new cities and 'the bush'. I have a LinkedIn profile and references for my many house-sits.

I live in a Queenslander-style house. It is well-maintained, well-lit, and comfortable. I love my large verandas. The floors are of wood and pleasant to walk on, the ceilings high set and the decor simple and attractive. The themes are earthiness and simplicity, and comfort is guaranteed. A combustion fire is the heating in winter, and fans for summer. The many trees nearby, and ponds in my garden attract lots of birds and the birds welcome me to the day.
Neighbours are generally quiet. I let out downstairs and the tenant has rented for 11 years. He is very quiet and we occasionally converse about our wildlife visiting the garden if we meet in our comings and goings. We share a washing machine in the laundry downstairs, and coordinate the use between us.
I walk to the main street of my town most days. This is around 15-20 minutes each way. As well the train station is 20 minutes drive or bus away, making Brisbane accessible as a day trip.
