We are two professors at the Australian National University, with a 10-year-old son. We also have a lovely black labrador (but can take him with us when we travel). We do love to travel, and are looking to use Aussie House Swap to make that easier.

The House

A classic 1960s renovated 'Ex-Govie' house in trendy Campbell (Defence/War Memorial area of Canberra). We are professors at ANU and the house is overflowing with books, magazines, records and games. A wide and colourful backyard with spacious deck. There is also a child's room, as well as a large furnished shed in the yard that we use as an office/study. Situated in a very quiet neighbourhood, the house is a quick walk to Mt Ainslie, the War Memorial, Lake Burley Griffin, ADFA or the Defence offices in Russell. A little farther out, but a quick drive or bike away, are the Parliamentary Triangle, the Braddon shopping district, ANU and the main national museums and art galleries.

The things we love about living here

The Campbell neighbourhood is green, quiet and friendly.
A wealth of middle to high-end restaurants, from the local pizza place to multiple fine-dining options.
'Upper Campbell' has a large and friendly dogpark and kids' play areas, as well as green paths.
A short walk to the lower 'C5'/Haslett Park area of Campbell where there are more restaurants, bars, dog parks and kids' areas.
